Moscow Five seem to have called it quits after their performance in SLTV Star Series, Season 3, narrowly missing out on a top four position at the LAN finals in Kiev having successfully finished second in the online qualification stage.

Moscow Five management have put the blame on the players for disbanding; suggesting that issues that had arisen between the team; after a somewhat hectic LAN, where they were said to have suffered rule changes and other issues the team could not cope with, lead to team arguments. This resulted in the players returning home and arguing between themselves. Moscow Five had an ultimatum, to either continue playing together as a team and work through the issues, or to disband entirely, as Moscow Five decided that roster changes were not an option, citing "We do not want Moscow Five to be a courtyard". The players unable to continue together therefore disbanded.
Aleksey 'BullsEye' Berezin (also known as M5.BenQ.Solo) however had a different view of the disbanding of the team, he suggested that both
Nexus and
Stalianer did not want to continue playing and although the other 3 members in the team did, they had to agree to disband following the decision from Moscow Five management to not allow roster changes. BullsEye also said that he could not see the reasoning behind Stalianer and Nexus' decision to stop playing, suggesting there had been "no serious quarrels" but only small disagreements.Moscow Five will no longer be competing at World Cyber Games in China and will be passing their spot to the runners up from the WCG Russia qualification,
Garaj Gaming, although with one month until the commencement of WCG it may be too late to arrange visa's in time for travel.Moscow Five Management statement:
When we were negotiating terms with the given roster, we emphasized that won’t demand bright results until at least three or four months of common efforts. Despite that the team has shown its potential from the very beginning, but after every pick there is a slump, which shows the true nature of the players and their ability to work their way through the complications. In our case it was StarLadder, where team has gone without a manager and came across several unexpected obstacles, which they weren’t able to overcome. Someone might say that every participant was in equal terms, but we believe that it is not that way, because there is a difference between an immature and an experienced team. Our team was the one that was less experienced.
After the return from Kiev there were two options: players find the strength to move forward, so the fiasco won’t happen again or they start blaming each other for what has taken place. Unfortunately, the events went according to the second scenario. We have tried to influence the players and find the solution that would allows us to safeguard the team, but it was only possible on the condition that every single one of them was willing to cooperate further on, but not all of them were willing to commit. We haven’t considered roster changes, because we have previously come to the agreement that we won’t refer to this method.
Consequently current M5.Dota roster is officially disbanded. We have informed WCG Russia that we are not able to attend WCG 2012. Since the document package necessary for acquiring visa to China was issued only yesterday, we believe we have done everything we should have in order for Garaj Gaming to be able to do the paper work in due time.
We want to thank everyone, who has been supporting our team during its existence and we want to apologize for the way its story has developed.

Aleksey 'BullsEye' Berezin statement from Moscow Fives news post:"Ok guys, I know that you don't wash dirty linen in public, but in this situation I think that I would be right to clarify the whole thing. Mark (Marchello, the manager of M5) clearly told us 'ok guys, you are five players and if one leaves, the team disbands'. Stalianer flaty refused to play, Nexus said that he can't see any future for the team, so we (the other 3 players) had to agree. I sincerely don't know what made the guys do this step, there were no serious quarrels, swearing. Of course, we had some small disagreements, but it couldn't cost us the disband of the team and the loss of M5 tag. I am very sorry to leave you, it was a pleasure to play under your tag and feel your support!"
