After the success of the Manila Major in the Philippines, Dota 2 fans from the Asia Pacific region will be delighted to know there will be a $150,000 tournament held specifically for their part of the world.

The ROG Masters will culminate in a LAN Finals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, after qualifiers have been held in Oceania, East Asia, South East Asia, China and the Rest of Asia.

The ROG Masters will not only cover Dota 2 but also Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The prizepool for Dota 2 will be $150,000, which will make it a headline event in the region. After the qualifiers a massive LAN finals will be held in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre featuring 24 teams, 12 from each title.

The LAN Finals will be held in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia from the 12-13th November


Qualifier dates and regions for ROG Masters Qualifiers!
For the qualifiers, the teams will be divided into 5 regions, thus increasing the chances of qualifying for teams from different parts of the Asia Pacific region. Here are the regions:

Region 1: (Oceania) 5th-11th September - Including Australia and New Zealand
Region 2: (East Asia) 12-18th September - Including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau
Region 3: (South-East Asia) 19th-25th September - Including Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines
Region 4: (China) 2nd October - China
Region 5: (Rest of Asia) 3rd-9th October - Including India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives


All the teams will be assigned a random group, which will follow a bo1 round-robin format. The top 2 teams from each group will then progress to a single elimination grid, a real test of any aspiring team.

As of yet there are no limitations on the nationality of players within each team, so if you've got friends dotted all over the Asia Pacific Region it might be a good time to start reeling them in. The rules for the tournament can be found here.
