October 4th is the date of an 8 team double elimination tournament. So far, so normal. But the participants are slightly different than usual. Most of the players are quite known in the dota scene - just not for playing. The Dota 2 Staff Cup gathers important community members from various websites or organisations for a fun competition. It is time for team managers, editors, tournament admins, shoutcasters, and many others to shine.

Although TobiWanKenobi plays in the English Caster's team, joinDOTA is of course participating with staff members from various sections of the website. Here is a list of teams and players (JD will be using a lot more than just these five players though).

The tournaments starts at 18:30 CET on will completely be finished Thursday night. All matches are best of one, except the bo3 grand finals. joinDOTA will face fnatic in the first round and either the English casters or the managers afterwards. Here are the full brackets.



Since pro players are not allowed in the Staff Cup, mtw captain syndereN will do the next best thing and stream the whole tournament. DotaTV will also be available. Additional streams might be announced later.
