LGD Gaming's direct invite to TI6 may have come under fire, but they disposed of Digital Chaos without breaking much of a sweat in the Nanyang Championships lower-bracket.
MMY's Oracle in both games made DC's lives a lot more complicated

LGD Gaming slammed the door shut on Digital Chaos hopes of progressing further in the Nanyang Championships. From the word go cn Yao 'Somnus' Lu's Timbersaw and cn Sun 'Agressif' Zheng's Slark were leading the charge and DC's draft did not survive. DC's draft appeared flimsy even from the beginning, the Wisp and Dazzle greatly reduced the team's damage output.

If ro Omar 'w33haa' Aliwi's Dragon Knight had been able to last in fights the story of the game might have been different, as ua Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok had managed to almost keep up on form on Naga Siren. However, the DC mid player was a popular target for LGD Gaming, and the DK seemed out of place against such a overpowering force. DC lost the first game 29-5.

DC's roaming support Pudge was surprisingly effective in game 2

The second game Digital Chaos did not seem to take super seriously, going for a 3rd pick Pudge and a 4th pick Death Prophet, but it actually worked out better than their draft in the previous game. MiseRy played a roaming support Pudge, and us David 'Moo' Hull on Dark Seer had a much better performance than we've seen so far at the Nanyang Championships.

Mana issues were a continious problem for DC in engagements and Maybe made good use of EMP Shockwave. Meanwhile his team-mate and captain cn Zhang 'xiao8' Ning bought a Diffusal Blade on his Faceless Void, adding another mana drain and of course a counter to Lion's Hex and Dark Seer's Ion Shell.

Although DC did secure kills with good hooks by Misery and an active ua Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok on Spectre, they could not take objectives. In the 41 minute game they only managed to take down two tier 1 towers, and LGD Gaming's cn Sun 'Agressif' Zheng had a comfortable series with only one death and 16 kills over the two games. A fairly routine victory for LGD Gaming.

Misery with LGD captain Xiao8

Digital Chaos may need to be wary in the future of not trying to be too clever in the drafts when facing top flight opposition. The support Pudge versus LGD Gaming today was a nice touch - as was the Shadow Blade Earth Spirit versus cn CDEC.Youth* - but a little too much experimentation has robbed DC of a chance of reaching the top 4.
