The intended layout for the Redbull Heroicks event at Castle Rastatt
Each team will have 3 lives at the Red Bull Heroicks event
The Red Bull Heroicks will not be your run of the mill event. It will be held inside 300 year old Castle Rastatt near the border between Germany and France, and include a unique format for the competing teams which Red Bull piloted last year.
The format will be very similar to the one used at the Red Bull Battlegrounds last year, whereby each of the 5 participating teams will be given 3 lives, and for each game lost a team loses one of their lives. To make things interesting the match winner can select the two teams for the next match. Run out of lives and you are out of the competition. The Red Bull Heroicks Champion will be the last team still standing!
The "lives format" - 3 lives per team. The last team to survive wins!Furthermore, the fans and visitors can influence the game via the Hero Challenge, which allows viewers to determine two heroes each game that are not allowed to be banned, and that the teams will be rewarded for picking.

Virtus.Pro* have all agreed to take part in the 2-day event from the 17-18th September, and the event will welcome up to 5,000 spectators with tickets already on sale via the Red Bull website.A total of five teams will compete in Rastatt, and at least one spot will be awarded to the winners of the Open Qualifiers to be hosted by joinDOTA. To encourage the growth of the German Dota 2 scene, teams hoping to compete in the Qualifiers for the Red Bull Heroicks must have at least 3 German players in their line-up.
