Last chance to sign up for the Preseason Playoffs

Just one day left to go until the Preseason Playoffs' sign-up closes. Over 500 teams have already decided to not only join the regular joinDOTA League action, but also demonstrate their ability to perform at an even higher level and play for a chance to be placed in one of the higher divisions.


Pre-playoffs! Succeed and jump divisions



Ahead of the joinDOTA League Season 10 we will be running Preseason Playoffs, which grants all participating teams an opportunity to either jump divisions or start in a higher division if this is their first season taking part.

The Preseason Playoffs will be held from June 15-16th. Once the sign-up ends in the respective region, teams have 30 Minutes to mentally prepare before their first can be found on the league site. While the schedule details depend on the sign-up count, you can expect to have 4 rounds to be set for the first day, and the rest on day two.

Europe: 19:00 CEST
Asia: 18:00 SGT
Americas: 20:00 EDT / 17:00 PDT

Round 4 in Europe still being played on Wednesday depends on whether the team count exceeds 256 until the end of sign-ups. A final update will be provided by the beginning of the playoffs. Either way, 32 teams will survive the first day in each region.

The match mode in all rounds is one game (best of one).


Jump divisions



Based on your standings in the Preseason Playoffs, you could jump divisions:
Grand Finalists: Rewarded with a spot in Division 2 (2 teams)
Quarter-Finalists: Rewarded with a spot in Division 3 (6 teams)
Round-of-32: Rewarded with a spot in Division 4 (24 teams)
3 wins or more (before ro32): Rewarded with a spot in Division 5 (Europe only).

Keep in mind that extra rules regarding stand-ins apply: You must not use players as stand-in that are part of any other team within the league.

If you miss the preaseason deadline, you can of course still sign up for the regular season afterwards and participate in the groupstage as always. ALso for those of you who were worried about being DE-moted by failing in these playoffs: That is not possible, you will either receive a promotion or stay the same as before.
