Manila Major direct invite Fnatic have decided to continue playing musical chair with their roster, and unfortunately for my Wai Pern 'Net' Lim it means time on the bench.

Fnatic reward 343 for filling in for the team
Int Fnatic's managed to ride the waves after my Adam Erwann 'Adam' Shah stepped in for ph Djardel 'DJ' Mampusti at the Shanghai Majors and then once again when my Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung needed time off. Mushi, now fit to make a return, meant that one player would need to move to the substitute bench.

Net will now miss the Manila Major
"343 really embraced the challenge and-over performed in almost every aspect. This was a great development for the team however there was an obvious problem being created by having 6 very talented played in a 5 man squad."

Although 343 was the one acting as a stand-in, Fnatic have decided to instead bench Net to make space for their captain my Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung.

As a result of not being part of the active roster Fnatic said in their announcement that Net has decided to leave the team completely, and look for a primary role in another team.

The decision of course means that despite helping the team earn their direct invite to the Manila Major, he will not be playing in it.

Due to the roster changes being made between active players and substitutes, Fnatic suffer no penalty for changing their 5-man roster.

my Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung commented on the decision via Facebook:

Hey everyone, sorry for the decision made. But I want to thank Net for everything he has done for us. Without Net, we will not be where we are today. Although we are not teammates, you are still my brother and my family. I wish you all the best for your future.

Net could now potentially miss out on TI6?
For Net the situation and of course his decision to leave the team to avoid being a substitute means he not only will definitely miss out on the Manila Major, but can only attend TI6 via an Open Qualifiers winning team. Net has almost exclusively played with Malaysian sides making my Orange.Taring*, who finished 3rd in the Regionals for the Manila Major, one of his best options. However, should he join they would most likely have to give up a spot in the Regionals and risk the Open Qualifiers.

Update: Fnatic manager posted a Twitlonger explaining the situation further.
