The lower-bracket Final of the MDL Season 2 will be a repeat of the one at the Frankfurt Major, as once again
OG and Evil Geniuses play each other for a spot in a Grand Finals. Their last encounter outside of MDL was a 2-1 victory for OG in November, before then going on to easily dismiss Team Secret in the Grand Finals to win the first-ever Dota 2 Major.Last time around OG came back after being crushed 29-2 in the first game
If we rewind to their last encounter in a LB Final, it was
David 'Moonmeander' Tan and not 
Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi who saved the day. In the opening game against Evil Geniuses at the Frankfurt Major, OG had been demolished on every lane and Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev's Templar Assassin ran over the would-be champions, securing the win for EG with 29-2 on the scoreboard.In the second game MoonMeander came into his own on Earthshaker, in what was probably one of his best performances at the tournament, with the commentary desk calling it the "game of his career".

EHOME, and Evil Geniuses are definitely not the favourites going into the encounter tomorrow morning to decide who will face the Chinese team in the Grand Finals.OG have never lost to Evil Geniuses since their inception, a 2-0 win in groupstage of MDL, the 2-1 victory at the Frankfurt Major and the 2-0 win in the MLG groupstage are the only previous encounters between the pair. Remarkably when OG headed to the Frankfurt Major they had played the most official matches of any of the competing teams, while here at the MDL they had in fact played the least.
Communities disagree on who is the favourite
The odds for the match vary across different communities. On Dota2Lounge the bets are currently fairly even with 56-44 in favour of OG, while on the joinDOTA match page it is far more one sided with 78-22. On GosuGamers Evil Geniuses are tipped to be the favourites with 60-40 in their favour. Regardless of who is the favourite, one thing is certain is that for the Western world THIS is the Grand Final, and the match should attract much higher viewership than we've seen so far at the MDL Season 2 LAN Finals in Shanghai.
