Yesterday inhabitants of Twitch chat channels mourned the loss of two popular emotes, OSfrog and OSsloth. Both were part of expired promotions, but the community has helped in their revival.


It's a testimony to just how much a part of Twitch chat emotes are, and OSfrog was used as an emote for the mastermind behind Dota 2, Icefrog. Twitch however, responded to disapproval about their removal by giving the community a chance to bring back one of the emotes by either retweeting or favouriting. After over 2,900 retweets and 4,900 favourites in just 2 hours, Twitch has decided to reviveboth of them!
