Tonight! We dine in JDL!
Today is the first playday of the joinDOTA League Season 9, and we're delighted to share some figures of the upcoming season. The joinDOTA League has attracted a bigger crowd this time around, in particular in the joinDOTA LEague Asia where the start division alone welcomes more than 200
Indonesian teams.
Germany and
Peru are the second most active countries for the upcoming season and we have a total of around 9,000 registered players this time around. Which means there is plenty of action to be had.Your Schedule for jDL Warfare

A nice little pointer is that a match can be played up to 1 week before or after the respective default date without the consent of the group admin. Please read the schedule section of our rules for more information.
2. Understanding the scheduling rules - with some examples!
Both teams have to suggest a match time at least 48 hours before the default time in a comment on the match page. The following rules apply in the different cases.
A) If neither team writes a comment in time, the match is to be played at the default time.
B) If one team does not write a comment in time, the time suggested by the other team becomes the match time.
C) If both teams want to play at the same time (default time or not), the match time is the time the teams agreed on.
D) One team (being called 'Team A' in the following) wants to play at the default time, but the other team ('Team B') at another time, Team A does now have the choice. They can
- agree on the time suggested by Team B
- agree on a reschedule, but not to the time suggested by Team B. This leads directly to E)
- enforce the default time by declaring that in an additional comment at least 24 hours in advance. In the spirit of competition, we ask the participants to only enfore the default time this way, if they really can't make it at other times.
E) If both teams want to play at different times (that are not the default time), the default time is not effective anymore, but a match time is still to be found. Both teams are now asked to try finding a match time that fits everyone. If they don't succeed in doing so, an admin will decide.
Once a match time is set, it can still be changed with a mututal agreement of both teams!

Example 1
Team 1 writes a post on the match page 70 hours before default time and asks for the game to be rescheduled to a date next week. Team 2 declares in a comment 28 hours before default time that they want to enforce default time.
This is a case B. Team 2 did not write a comment 48 hours before match time, so the time Team 1 suggested is the new match time.
Example 2
Team 1 writes a post on the match page 10 hours before default time and asks for the game to be rescheduled to a date next week. Team 2 does not react, but opens a lobby and posts lobby details at default time.
This is a case A. Neither team wrote a comment 48 hours before match time, so the match is to be played at default time.
3. Standin rules & keeping your roster updated!
Another matter that often causes confusion is the team roster. Please make sure that on your team profile, the players' registered steam accounts, are always up-to-date. Each player has to use his or her proper steam account, otherwise he or she is considered a standin.
Quote from our rules:
Team Size
A team has to consist of at least 5 members. Members can be added and removed during the season. However one person cannot switch teams more than once within one season.
Permitted Players
Players may only take part in a match as official team member, if they have joined the team at least 24 hours prior to the match time (according to rule III of the Schedule section). Otherwise they will count as stand-ins.
Stand-ins
The amount of stand-ins used by a team in each game is limited to 2. Furthermore a person is not allowed to stand in, if he is member of a team in the same group, or in a group within a higher division.
4. Be nice, respect your opponents and do not flame each other - ever!
We, sadly, often come across poor behavior from some players. Please keep in mind that Dota2 is a game after all and insults in any shape or form whether racist, homophobic or sexist remarks have no place here or anywhere for that matter. Teams from all around the world sign up for our league, therefore it is crucial to show respect towards each other. We have and will punish players and teams that do misbehave, so let's keep it clean!
From the staff at the joinDOTA League, we wish you the best of luck!
