Team Secret put on a bit of a show in their encounter with MVP Phoenix, outclassing the Korean team by a huge margin. Co-commentator and Cloud9 captain ca Theeban '1437' Siva said Secret were playing out of their comfort zone to deal with MVP's playstyle of early aggression, but Puppey's team looked incredibly comfortable with MVP literally lambs to the slaughter.

The game had similarities to CDEC's first match against Cloud9 yesterday, with CDEC's attempt to use their old strats from TI5 failing miserably and the Chinese team were forced to adapt in game 2 and 3 with picks such as Phoenix and Enchantress to come out with a 2-1 victory. MVP Phoenix however, do not seem to have a plan B, and with Secret appearing to have the blueprints of their plan A it was quite painful to watch the Korean team be so effortlessly outplayed.

W33haa and Secret continuously contested MVP's Ancients

Team Secret had lost to CDEC in their previous match after the Chinese team effectively shut down ro Omar 'w33haa' Aliwi, but in this series they literally used W33haa as bait, and MVP were more than willing to chase after him.

Master draft by Puppey
Secret last picked Venomancer for W33haa and sent him mid against kr Seon-Yeob 'QO' Kim's TA, which effectively put MVP's star player out of action.

Continious pressure from Secret along with them pinching MVP's ancient stacks on several occasions gave MVP little room to move.

MVP had drafted as they usually do, picking up Tusk and Spirit Breaker early on, but with no ability to pressure the offlane or the mid, they had no kill potential.

Team Secret had read them like a book. The game was a testament to how well Secret can work together, with Puppey's Dazzle and PieLieDie's Bane toying with MVP. The game ended in just 21 minutes with a scoreline of 35-12 in favour of Secret.

Surprise MVP Huskar pick gets destroyed in lane by Broodmother

The second game looked like it was going to be a fun one, with a last pick Huskar by MVP countered with a last-pick Broodmother for Secret. Secret's dk Rasmus 'rASmus' Fillipsen played the hero very well at ESL One Frankfurt earlier in the month, and this game he was all over kr Pyo 'MP' Noa's Huskar in the offlane.

Mid-lane was an extremely comfortable lane for W33haa's NIghtstalker, who was being babysat by PieLieDie's Lich, and the pair had full control of mid lane once again putting kr Seon-Yeob 'QO' Kim in a difficult position. Top lane was a similar flop for MVP with Puppey sacrificing levels to just continiously pester kr Tae Won 'March' Park's Beastmaster.

Ez mid - W33haa and Pieliedie had such an easy time mid-lane as NS and Lich

With MVP losing all three lanes from the get-go they were forced to resort to smoke ganks, with their gank at ten minutes in probably the only time in the time they looked like they could do some damage. An Earthshaker and Shadow Fiend smoke around mid managed to catch out W33haa's Nightstalker as he walked unsuspectingly up the hill, but it was not going to stop Secret.

Trying desperately to get QO online, Febby and Heen resorting to going mid to help out, but this just left Secret's Brood and Ember Spirit free farming. It was sad to witness MVP's struggle but they were literally outdrafted, with the combos that surprised at TI5 now far too predictable. The game ended almost as swiftly as the previous one, leaving MVP with a 5-6th place while Secret progress to the playoffs where they will play eu OG.
