E-Sports-bets are celebrating their 4th anniversary by hosting a Best of five Show-match between two of the strongest teams currently in the CIS scene; ru Team Empire and ru Virtus.Pro*. Both teams are competing for a share of $7,500 and while there is no trophy as such, pride is very much on the line with both teams attending TI5 the result may give one the slight psychological edge over the other.

The quality of Dota on display should be high as both teams were recipients of direct TI5 invites and both will have a point to prove against the other as there is great history between them with their all time record between each other being 33-8 in favor of Team Empire.

Despite this rather one sided matchup the most recent sparring between the two resulted in a 2-0 win for Virtus Pro although, they did recieve a one game advantage as Empire turned up late and the second game VP pulled out a Drow, Visage strategy that ran over Empire in all of 22 minutes.

Team Empire recently finished a respectable second in the MarsTV Dota 2 League 2015. Furthermore, their 1st place finish in DOTA 2 Champions League S5 proved they could take on the Chinese with a convincing 3-0 decimation of cn Vici Gaming who had come into the tournament firm favourites. This being said, Empire have been missing from a couple of major lans, most notably DreamLeague Season 3 and joinDOTA MLG Pro League Season 2, where, in both cases visa issues meant they had to drop out from the events. As a result there are question marks that have to be raised on the current strength of the team, especially with the evolution of the meta over the past weeks and a lack of recent LAN experience.

Virtus Pro on the other hand are full of LAN practice, fresh back off a 3/4th place finish at ESL One Frankfurt 2015 giving a very strong performance and showing off a neat Silencer pocket strat that was crucial in beating se Alliance in the quater finals. Furthermore, they recently won DreamLeague Season 3 by beating fellow CIS rivals ua Natus Vincere in a thrilling best of five after previously losing to them in the upper bracket final and showing the world that they are not scared of a litte adversity.

The match is due to start at 5pm CEST later today and will be cast by our friends over at Beyond The Summit. For our Russian readers the cast will be handled by the well know caster CaspeRRR and joining him will be special guest ua Artur 'Goblak' Kostenko over on Starladder.
