With the groupstages of Dota Pit League well underway, we take a quick look at the standings and the massive prizepool that has been accumulated. For an online tournament the prizepool has become huge, plus with The International invitations coming soon, this could play a vital factor when it comes to invitations.

While eu Team Secret has qualified, there's still plenty of Dota to be had in a tournament where the prize pool has grown to over $240,000! There has only been one online tournament with a bigger prizepool, XMG Captain's draft at $276,742. With the prizepool still increasing, this season of Dota Pit may well turn out to be the biggest online dota tournament EVER.

The second Upper Bracket spot in Group B is still open for those victorious in bloody battle. ru Team Empire, ru Hellraisers and se Alliance are all still in a good spot to take it as they face off against each other. ru Vega Squadron, while theoretically still able to make it through tiebreakers, looks destined for the lower bracket. rs mYinsanity has been eliminated.

In the other Group (A) little is certain yet. With by Power Rangers having taken over us Fire's record the upper bracket looks more like a hopeful dream, than a realistic goal. For the moment the se Ninjas in Pyjamas and ru ASUS.Polar are first and second, but the colossus that is us EG has only one game played. One of the team's usEG will be facing is us Team Tinker. For them, losing any games against us EG would almost certainly mean the lower bracket. Winning both games would put them in contention for the upper bracket.

ru ASUS.Polar and se Ninjas in Pyjamas meanwhile still have to face off against each other and us EG, so someone at the top will start losing points. Amidst all of this, us Cloud 9, currently in third, is sitting in waiting like a praying mantis ready to steal a spot. Their last match is against by Power Rangers, a match crucial for both teams.

While all would like to win a first place prize of more than $100,000, there is something more and perhaps even bigger at stake. With the next International rapidly approaching and some of the West's biggest team in this tournament, a win here may mean an invite rather than qualifiers for many of these teams.
