The ESL One Frankfurt draws closer and closer, and so the organisers are teasing us with more and more details. Earlier today ESL revealed their first team which will receive a direct invite to the main event, Team Secret, who finished 3rd at the recent Dota 2 Asia Championships, with more invites on the horizon.

With Team Secret the first of only three teams to receive a direct invite has been confirmed, as predicted by our very own mystics TobiWan and Capitalist. However, this can be hardly considered a surprise, after the ravishing performances of the squad over the last couple of months.

A deadly Secret...

Secret proves to be one of the most effective teams in 6.83, as they manage to achieve a winrate of no less than 76,9% in 39 games. They are only topped by

Not Today with 81,8%. Although given they have played only 11 games in smaller competitions it is safe to say that Secret takes the crown.Especially after

Ludwig 'zai' Wahlberg and

Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev joined their ranks, the performance of Team Secret skyrocketed, and they managed to stomp their way through the group stages of the Dota 2 Asian Championships, with a perfect score of 15-0.

Secret ultimately took third place at DAC with their new roster, and also placed top3 in The Summit2, Starladder X and XMG Captains Draft Season 2 with their previous line-up, making them prime candidates for one of the three direct invites.

The rocky road of the qualifiers

As already mentioned, there are two more teams to receive a direct invite to the ESL One Frankfurt main event, which will take place June 20 - 21 2015. All other teams will have to fight their way through the qualifiers, with sign-ups opening yesterday.
