LV become EHOME after D2L title triumph

posted by saij,
The Dota2League came back for its fifth season in October last year, rocking a base prizepool of $50,000 and teams from all over the world. Yesterday, it ended in a showdown between cn LV Gaming and ru VP.Polar at the Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. The champions also announced they will be competing under the EHOME banner in the future.

LV gaming were crowned the champions of Hyper-X D2L Season 5 held at Caesars palace, Vegas after a 3-1 victory in a BO5 series against VP.Polar . LV gaming went into the match with ease, as they knew they had a one game advantage. Earlier in the day, they had already defeated VP.Polar in the Winners bracket final with a convincing 2-1.

After beating the squad of us Evil Geniuses in the Lower Bracket Final, VP.Polar went on a search for redemption against LV Gaming, but were unable to do so and only took one map of them before they met their demise.

The opening match saw LV Gaming bring out the Mushi Ember SPirit and zyf’s last-pick TerrorBlade, with the combination proving deadly. Game 2 was taken by the CIS squad VP Polar with some exceptional plays from Illidan’s Medusa buffed by Magnus Empower and Bloodlust, against which zyf’s Morphling and Inflame's invoker were no match.

Game 3 can be more or less be called an outdraft from the LV squad. The Chinese team appeared to bait out fng to pick Outworld Devourer to dominate ember mid-lane, but inflame drafted the surprise pick sniper for Mushi. This forced Illidan to play mid Outworld Devourer instead of his safe lane role which was taken by dkphobos on Naix. Mag had a 7 minute blink dagger on his Bat Rider, but his early blink dagger ganks resulted in an unfavourable trade for the VPP squad and did not translate to victory.

The Chinese have shown clear dominance in the last LAN finals, with Season 4 going to cn LGD under the lead of the great Xiao8. It is worth mentioning the role of DDC, who played in both winning rosters.

Mushi confirms LV to play as EHOME

Mushi has confirmed that the current LV roster will be playing on in further competetions under the banner of the chinese giant cn EHOME. He has released a statement about this after his first lan victory with the current roster in his facebook account along with thanking his fans . His statement reads as follows
