The MPGL Grand finals kick off today!

The first day of the 2014 MPGL Grand finals kicks off today in the Philippines, and with the best teams from around the Southeast Asian region in attendance expect some exciting games. Fourteen teams will participate in this year’s final, having earned their places at the most prestigious SEA event throughout the year.


The first day of the event will see the teams split into two groups, facing off against each other in a round robin in which only the top two teams from each group will advance to the winners bracket. Following this the remainder of the group will have to fight for the remaining winner bracket places depending on where in the group they finished, the winners of this bubble bracket will move on to face the losers of the original winners bracket clashes.

The final day of the LAN finals will see the remaining teams fight for the constantly increasing $22,000 USD first place prize. Making this the biggest tournament to grace the Southeast Asian region.
