Fire was all set to be the Grand Final game to an epic tournament today. The Grand Final of The Brawl started out pretty even with both teams exchanging kills and although Fire lost their carry in most of the battles, they managed to keep the gold advantage up by pushing down towers with the power of Broodmother.
Through mid game, Natural 9 and viewers of the livestream soon figured out that there is something amiss with Puck's ability. Justin 'xMusiCa' Yuen paused the game for an admin to make a decision on the exploitation. Besides that, Fire is in another controversy as American powerhouse,
co9.GDT at the onset of this issue has came out spreading that Fire exploited another bug during the Sunday Evening Cup Series against them. In the game, the support heroes passed their tangos to the solo to sell for full price to earn that extra gold.
Rob 'Taku' Dyche told JoinDOTA that: During Sunday Evening Cup Series 1.4 in our match against team Fire, they used a gold transfer bug to increase Doom's starting gold. We do not know if they did it again throughout the Secs Grand tournament or Games Replay Dota Brawl however since they did abuse the Puck bug against N9 we are skeptical that they have been abusing various bugs consistently through their matches"
The admins of The Brawl are now on lockdown and has asked Valve for the replay of the game to investigate the situation. The final decision of the tournament will be updated in 24 hours.
The winner of this qualifier will be the first team to proceed into the final four where they stand a chance to win the $4,000 first prize. JoinDOTA will bring you the latest update as soon as more information becomes available.
