NewBee triumphed over
Omar 'w33haa' Aliwi's
Team Romania in the Grand Finals of the IeSF World Championships earlier today with a decisive 3-0 victory over the side of the #1 ranked player in Europe. The Romanians had looked strong all the way through to the Finals, taking a game off of Newbee themselves in the Group Stage, but eventually the skill of the TI4 Champions shone through.

The Romanian pubstar wasn't the only familiar face that NewBee disposed of on their way to glory, with the Chinese side coming up against the well known names of
MVP Pheonix, as well as
Kalle 'Trixi' Saarinen who was part of
Team Finnland for the event. Overall the tournament seemed a pretty standard affair for NewBee, as no other participating team could boast an achievement anywhere near the level of TI4 champions. They dropped two games over the course of the competition, one at the hands of Team Romania in the Group Stage, which featured a brilliant performance by w33 on his famous Meepo, and the other to MVP Pheonix in the first round of the Knockout Stage. MVP picked themselves up a farming Omniknight, and together with a strong Death Prophet played by
Kim 'QO' Seon-Yeob led them to victory.NewBee currently aren't competing in Starseries XI, so it is unknown when we'll see them in action again, but if they keep performing to this standard, hopefully it isn't too long. Were NewBee particularly great in IeSF, or was it just standard for them? Voice your opinions on the team in the comments!
