The teams for the upcoming StarLadder XI were posted up on Wednesday, with 12 of the 16 teams of last season returning to compete. However "Fnatic", who used Lajons line-up for the qualifiers, will not be returning for the new season after being eliminated by Goomba.


eu Fnatic failed to defeat de Team GOOMBA in a tight best-of-five two days ago, losing the qualifier’s bracket and a chance to compete with some of the biggest teams that have already secured their spot in the Star Series Season 11.

Team GOOMBA rushed its way through the loser’s bracket, crushing five different teams and managing to only drop two games in total. After defeating Fnatic in the grand finals, Team GOOMBA secured their spot over them to compete with the following 15 teams in the Star Series Season 11 tournament:

This is only the second time in Star Series history that Fnatic will not participate, the first time being all the way back in season two. Along with Fnatic, Team GOOMBA knocked out and denied ru Album from competing in their second ever Star Series.

GOOMBA might have upset some oldschoolers with its qualification, but it won’t be the only team with new faces competing in Star Series for the first time; Three other teams (ua Artstyle Team,
rs mYinsanity and ru Uropb) prepare to face off against the most elite organizations in the world— twelve of which are returning teams from the last season.

The online part will run through November and a large part of December and the LAN finals will take place shortly after the start of next year.
