We finally have our two contenders for the last match-up of the Dota 2 Champions League S4 LAN Finals that will take place later today at 17.00 CEST. ua Na'Vi will take on world Team Tinker that are craving revenge after being knocked down into the loser's bracket by the very same Ukrainian squad.

Early aggression or lategame dominance?

It's to little surprise that we found these two European giants in the best of five match-up that will put an end to this tournament. Both teams easily made their way through respective semi-finals which each ended two games to none and went head-to-head in yesterday's winner bracket finals. An entertaining series that ended with Na'Vi as the king of the hill after three quite long games.

The two team's styles vary a bit as Na'Vi have adapted themselves to the meta and will often secure a farm dependent hero for ua Alexander 'XBOCT' Dashkevich and try to buy as much space for him as possible. To reach this goal, they usually pick up aggressive heroes for ua Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin and ua Gleb 'Funn1k' Lipatnikov. The last game of the winner bracket final is an excellent example, where Dendi's Puck and Funn1k's Doom brawled their way through the early- and midgame, while XBOCT was farming his Sven to greater heights until he became unstoppable. Their main objective in the upcoming series will be to keep Team Tinker in control and hinder their snowballing until XBOCT gets what he needs.

Team Tinker on the other hand, excels at early aggression and five man brawling and seem to prefer shorter games. Heroes like the new undead guy on the block - Necrophos - suit their playstyle like a glove. de Max 'qojqva' Broecker gave Na'Vi a real lesson in the second game, where he showed them that he's not a hero they should get for free as he ended up with the score 11/0/7 and 719 GPM. They need qojqva to be in his comfort zone as he's the main playmaker for the team and when he gets heroes like Lone Druid (like in game 3), he doesn't have as much impact. Another pick that should be prioritised is the Tidehunter who nl Wehsing 'SingSing' Yuen has controlled masterfully in this tournament. In the consolation finals he timed one of his double Ravage's so well that it turned a crucial fight around, which at first appeared as a devastating loss for his team.

Who gets the Io?

Another aspect is that both teams have supports that play a mean Io. We know from his days in se Alliance that se Jerry 'EGM' Lundkvist is one of the best Io players in the world, a fact that is supported by his performance in this tournament. Na'Vi's ru Ivan 'Vanskor' Skorokhod is also a top tier Io and both of them can utilise the versatile wisp in ways that benefit their team's playstyle. It will most certainly be a top tier pick and will have a great impact for the team that gets their hands on it in the drafting stage.

Even though both teams have a certain playstyle that suits them best, they're incredibly versatile when it comes to adapting to the drafts and it's hard to foresee the outcome of this one. Nonetheless, it will without doubt be an entertaining best of five series and put a dignified end to what's been a great tournament.
