CDEC versus Bravado Emotion
Group B favourite CDEC.Douyu kicked off the day with a convincing performance versus South African team Bravado Emotion, as Lu "'Maybe'" Yao went 24-0 on his Puck in just 30 minutes. The Chinese squad were in control of the game from the start, securing multiple kills in the laning stage to snowball past any hopes Bravado had at coming back
A Drawn out Clash! Immunity versus Idol
The showdown between Team Immunity and Insidious Idol proved to be a much more even affair, as the game streched to the 60 minute mark with both teams trading team fights throughout the game. The match itself began with Immunity taking an early lead thanks to their superior lane presence, outfarming their opponents and avoiding several rotations from the Idol squad.
However it wasn’t long before II’s persistency payed off, snagging two pick offs on Alex "'shatan'" Chang’s Void and Trent 'Slickz' Tucker’s Weaver. From there it appeared as if Idol had come back, with their Spectre having caught up reasonably well after suffering from an offensive tri-lane. From there the game stretched into long periods of farming with small engagements occuring periodically. Immunity took consecutive Roshans throughout this period and tried to pressure the Idol base with the aegis. Eventually they were successful, with the team fight presence emanating from their tri-core proving too much for Brandon 'CHEW' Chew‘s spectre to handle. In the end Idol was forced to call the GG at the 58 minute mark, having lost the majority of their base.
The Chinese take game 1! CDEC versus Immunity
After a convincing win against South African squad Bravado Gaming, CDEC were poised to take on Team Immunity for a position in the semi finals. The Chinese squad managed to take an early game one lead, utilizing early rotations to pressure Team Immunity, furthering their lead with a well-timed team fight at the mid lane with their first Brewmaster split.
However despite falling behind the Australian squad held on, consistently split pushing with Queen of Pain and Weaver; avoiding engagements with Naga Siren’s ultimate. The game began to drag out, and for a while it seemed as if Immunity might be able to come back and seriously contend CDEC; however disaster fell upon Team Immunity as Slickz suffered a die-back on Weaver, giving CDEC the opportunity to break the Immunity base and claim a convincing game 1 victory. Justin ‘XmuSiCa’ Yuen has offered some insight into their first game loss, telling joinDOTA that CDEC’s pressure heavy style was simply too much to deal with.

Game 2! A show of force
The second game was over almost before it began with CDEC once again utilizing a Brewmaster pick to full effect, combining it with a Lycan in a successful attempt to systematically siege all of IM’s towers. CDEC were dominating for the entire 23 minute duration of the game, punishing the same split push style that gave them trouble in game one.
The IM roster never really got started, even after some early pick offs on Tidehunter it only took one Brewmaster split for everything to come unravelled for the Australian squad. From there it was kill after kill for CDEC as Immunity seemingly buckled under the pressure of the Chinese offensive. In the end they were forced to call GG and concede the series 2-0 to CDEC; who will now move on to the semi-finals.
Elimination Round! Bravado versus Insidious Idol
Both teams came into this match up one game down, needing a win to keep their tournament hopes alive. So it is no surprise that this match up came down to the wire, lasting over an hour and boasting over 50 kills. Idol managed to claim the first rax of the game, securing themselves an advantage for a considerable period; however thanks to seem’s Invoker play Bravado managed to break the Idol base themselves, triggering a drawn out stalemate that would last 20 minutes.
The key to breaking this stalemate, at least for Bravado, was Roshan, something which they consistently took advantage of to further pressure Idol’s base. Even when staring down the barrel of a 6 slotted Naga Siren Bravado looked confident, sporting their own formidable tri-core of Queen of Pain, Invoker and Void. In the end they managed to take one final Roshan and push the nail in the coffin of Insidious Idol’s MSI-Beat it hopes. Bravado will now move on to face Team Immunity for the final spot in the Semi-finals.

Who will join CDEC in the Semi-Finals? Immunity versus Bravado
AM was miles ahead
Bravado were off to a great start in the first game, racking up four kills in as many minutes to secure an early lead in the laning stage. With their Anti-mage farming impressively, Bravado proceeded to pressure the map, maintaining their sizable lead for the majority of the game. A turning point came towards the later part of the mid-game, as Immunity managed to take a fight from Bravado, killing Anti-mage and pushing a T2 tower.
From there the game developed into a stalemate, with Bravado gradually getting the edge by taking multiple Roshans and farming the majority of the map. Immunity made some impressive defensive plays and managed to stall the game out until just before the hour mark; however a pick off on Slickz spelled the end for the Australian squad, as Bravado pushed the final lane of rax and took game 1.
Match Point! Game 2
Game two started slower than the first, with only 5 kills taking place in the first 15 minutes; however it was Team Immunity who were making the most of the trade, getting off to an early lead that Bravado never seemed to be able to overcome. The key to the Immunity draft was their elusive ranged cores; utilizing their mobility they kited Bravado’s tanky melee carries, picking them apart. In the end Immunity managed to take the game in 35 minutes, tying the series at 1-1 and forcing a third game.
Bravado's stun heavy line up wasn't enough to take down Immunity.
Immunity move on! The final game
The final game of the series unfolded in much the same manner as the previous game, Immunity took an early lead, securing multiple kills in the laning stage, then they transitioned into a farmed tri-core that proceeded to take substantial amounts of map control from Bravado. From there Immunity opted to farm up their Morphling, waiting until they could take an aegis to make a high ground push, which ultimately lead to two lanes of rax falling in their favour.
Despite being two lanes of rax down Bravado did manage to hold out for a considerable amount of time, but another aegis on Morphling turned two lanes of rax into mega creeps, ending any hopes at a miraculous comeback. In the end Bravado where forced to GG out at the—minute mark, taking their leave from the tournament and giving Immunity the chance to face Rave in tomorrow’s semi-final clash.
