Evil Geniuses kicked off the NVIDIA Game 24 Invitational with a Best-of-Five semi final! Cloud9 took down EG in only 4 games after losing the first game to EG. Stay tuned for more incredible Dota 2 action !
Cloud 90:0Evil Geniuses EG opts for a pushing oriented line-up with Death Prophet, Shadow Shaman and Nature's Prophet. Meanwhile, C9 drafts themselves more fighting power as they pick up Skywrath Mage, Gyrocopter and Clockwerk. EG finishes their draft with a Centaur and Dazzle, while C9 finishes up their squad with Razor and Engima.01:00 Cloud 90:1Evil Geniuses An invis rune for Shadow Shaman marks first blood for Universe as he rotates into the bottom lane.03:45 Cloud 90:2Evil Geniuses A failed gank attempt for C9 in the middle lane as Enigma's smoke breaks prematurely. EG turns it around as Rhasta shackles up FATA on his Gyrocopter and another kill comes out for EG.
Cloud 90:3Evil Geniuses Bone7 gets caught in his own cogs as three people rotate towards him to finish him off. EG takes the first three kills.07:00 Cloud 91:4Evil Geniuses Finally, C9 gets themselves on the scoreboard as Razor's plasma field takes out one in the botlane. Shortly before, Clockwerk denied himself to minions. The first tower goes down for C9.09:00 Cloud 92:5Evil Geniuses A 1 for 1 trade across the map is the next piece of action displayed by these two teams but no towers fall due to this.11:00 Cloud 93:6Evil Geniuses Another 1 for 1 trade between these teams, yet EG takes down 2 towers, while C9 brings down midlane.13:00 Cloud 93:7Evil Geniuses Clocwerk falls one again to the power of Arteezy's Death Prophet in the toplane, yet C9 can't turn it around as DP walks away from Mystic Flare.14:30 Cloud 96:8Evil Geniuses EG grabs the first Roshan but they overextend themselves in the fight that follows, losing 3 heroes in the process.
Cloud 97:11Evil Geniuses EG takes revenge for the earlier losses as they wreck C9 in the midlane, followed by two towers falling in the midlane for the Radiant side.20:00 Cloud 98:14Evil Geniuses A new invis rune marks the start of a new fight, which is won by EG once again. They do some chip damage on the tier 3 but wisely back off for now.24:00 Cloud 98:14Evil Geniuses The action awaits the return of Roshan to the map, as both teams prepare for the next major engagement.25:30 Cloud 99:14Evil Geniuses Shadow Shaman goes down to C9's line-up after dropping the Mass Serpent Wards on the bottom tier 2 tower. Meanwhile, EG takes down Roshan one again.

Draft Cloud 90:0Evil Geniuses EG sticks mostly to the successful draft of last game, as they we get another round of Arteezy's Death Prophet, as well as Nature's Prophet's returning. C9 grabs themselves a Brewmaster and Morphling with Nyx Assassin as their last core and both Lich and Bane as their supports. EG tops off the draft with Pugna, Lion and Wraith King.02:00 Cloud 91:0Evil Geniuses First blood comes out for C9 as they manage to bring down Arteezy's Death Prophet in the midlane.03:00 Cloud 93:0Evil Geniuses The aggressive trilane of EG is not working out at all, as they feed 2 more kills on both sidelanes.07:00 Cloud 94:0Evil Geniuses Zai gets blown up by Lich's ultimate as EG tried to push in the toplane.09:00 Cloud 97:1Evil Geniuses EG kites around the first panda split but they lose alot while doing so.11:00 Cloud 915:2Evil Geniuses EG is getting destroyed all over the map as C9 continues to rack up kills.
Cloud 917:3Evil Geniuses Within 15 minutes, EG calls the "GG" as they recognise their disadvantage after losing way too much momentum. Brewmaster helped C9 to deliver in this second game and cleans up EG with some nice claps and splits. Draft Evil Geniuses0:0Cloud 9 The hype is real as C9 picks up their famous Drow Ranger and Visage, EG drafts a Shadow Shaman and Centaur Warrunner. C9 adds Puck and Vengeful Spirit, while EG opts for Enigma and Shadow Fiend in the second phase of this draft. Evil Geniuses5:14Cloud 9 Little more than 10 minutes into the game, C9 leads with almost 10 kills once again as they march down the midlane. EG calls the "GG" in another very short game. Draft Cloud 90:0Evil Geniuses Once again, Death Prophet as well as Shadow Shaman are picked up by EG. Brewmaster and Batrider are the first two picks for C9. More pushing power goes the way of EG with a Venomancer being drafted by PPD. C9 choses Bane and Jakiro in the second phase of this draft, Tidehunter ends the second phase for EG. Tinker returns to the battlefield as he finishes up C9's line-up. Cloud 91:3Evil Geniuses Mirana lands a nice arrow onto Batrider, who goes down as he didn't have Firefly up yet. Shortly after, EG collects yet another kill.04:00 Cloud 91:4Evil Geniuses Bone7 goes down once again in the toplane to Mirana and Rhasta. Shortly after, FATA gets away just in time as he almost died in the midlane as well.07:00 Cloud 91:4Evil Geniuses EternalEnvy rotates towards the ancients as they were already stacked up for him. Despite that kill, the last tier 1 tower in the midlane goes down as Arteezy pops his Exorcism.12:30 Cloud 95:7Evil Geniuses A 1 for 1 trade across the board is the next thing to happen while EG tries to siege the bottom tier 2 tower.15:00 Cloud 97:8Evil Geniuses EE-Sama goes down in the botlane as he gets caught in the botlane, after which C9 pushes down the tier 1 in mid and they pick up a kill as well, allowing them to take down the tier 2 tower as well.16:30 Cloud 97:8Evil Geniuses A typical trade in the Dota 2 scene as Dire gets an Aegis for losing their tier 1 tower toplane.

Meanwhile the courier picks up the cheese as it was still on the ground, right before C9 could get to it.57:00 Cloud 937:31Evil Geniuses Batrider is brought down once again, this time he got caught by EG's squad in the bottom river. EternalEnvy almost goes down as he gets caught by an arrow from Fear, yet he uses his BKB and the trees to get out safely.62:30 Cloud 937:31Evil Geniuses Roshan returns to the land of the living. C9 moves into the pit.63:30 Cloud 939:32Evil Geniuses Another big fight breaks out which forces C9 to back off from killing Roshan. C9 takes a hold of this fight as Tinker bursts down 2 while Ravage was blown for nothing as C9 popped their BKB's.64:00 Cloud 939:32Evil Geniuses Both teams disengage but C9 turns around to finish off Roshan, which leads to the melee racks in the midlane going down at last.
Cloud 944:32Evil Geniuses C9 finally ends this fourth and final game after more than an hour of play ! A final pick-off on the Rhasta allowed C9 to take the fight, which also featured a great defensive sleep from Bane that allowed FATA to get off his split. After their lost final at WEC, C9 takes revenge and eliminates EG from this amazing event by NVIDIA. This game has not been played.
