Five of the best April Fools

posted by Malystryx.GDS,
Given some of the brilliant new features, tournaments and teams the community has been coming up with for April Fools Day, we've put together five of the best efforts by e-celebrities such as Luminous, Ayesee and Wykrhm. Learn about the 3D2L, Dotabuff's new team, patch 6.81 and more. 1. The 3D2L
Here at the D2L, we're always looking to push the boundaries of user experience. Delivering the highest quality product we can, every chance we can, is at the heart of everything we do, but more than anything our drive is to find new ways to connect with and serve our viewership, while pushing the boundaries of what fans have to expect from eSports broadcasting.

2. The Colony - First Community driven update
Posted on Reddit mod wykrhm's blog, this very convincing mock-up of a new DOTA2 patch announces new changes such as region locking, the ability to forfeit match and the introduction of community mods Take a peek here.

3. DOTABUFF sponsors a DOTA2 team
The stats websites reveals its new algorithms to track skills as Creep Stealing Score, Frequency of Phantom Lancer Picks and Time Elapsed Before Picking. Read all about their new features here.

Creep Score Stolen (CSS): CSS is the measure of a teammate to steal another teammate's creep kills. This situation is also known as the Devil's Trilane, where a carry has to out compete his support and the enemy offlaner for last hits. We use this metric to rate winning support players. Higher scores represent supports with enough determination to frustrate their carries into the jungle.

4. Dota 6.81 Patchlog Analysis by Luminous and Aui_2000

Worth the mention just for the amount of effort involved in recording a 100 minute-long video purely for April Fools. Props to Aui_2000 for playing along. Remember to check out their patch log.

5. Arteezy Skype Logs with EG Owner Leaked

The guys over at Esportsexpress managed to get their hands on a skype log between Arteezy and Alex Garfield, the owner of Team EG. Hilarity ensues. Read the log.
