joinDOTA and ESL will be collaborating on a new $150,000 event to be held in Germany at the end of June. Eight teams will battle in a 35,000 seater arena with regional qualifiers to be hosted and broadcast by joinDOTA.

The ESL One Frankfurt 2014 will be held from the 28-29th June in the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt, one of the ten largest football stadiums in Germany. The arena has also hosted concerts from the likes of Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones and U2.

Eight teams will play live in the event finals in Frankfurt with the number of direct invites to be announced in the near future. For the remaining teams they will have to play through regional qualifiers which will be coordinated on joinDOTA.

Tickets for the big event will be sold in waves, with the first wave on the 28th February. The prizepool for the event is $150,000 which the Dota 2 community will be able be supplement through contributions. The ESL also state that they are "looking into a potential compendium”. More information on the ESL One Frankfurt 2014 will follow in the coming days.
