After a hard fought match, eu Fnatic extinguishes us Evil Geniuses hope at making it to the LAN finals of the D2L in their deciding game. A short recap on the group stages so far are available below.




cn LGD.cn dominated the Eastern Division, going undefeated through the entire groupstage and thus book their slot in the grand finals to be held later in January at the Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas. Meanwhile the teams that came in at second to fifth place will have to play a bubble bracket playoffs to qualify for the grand finals.

First off, cn DK will be playing cn TongFu in the first match of the playoffs. The winner then faces cn Vici-Gaming who have been showing some great results lately. Finally, the winner of that match takes on cn Invictus Gaming for a chance at Vegas.

Teams eliminated in the Eastern Division are world LGD.int, cn RisingStars and cn RattleSnakes



Over on the Western Division, The International 2013 champions, se Alliance continues their winning streak and stand comfortably on top of the rankings with us Team Liquid and ua Na'Vi follow closely behind.

This puts Fnatic up against ru Virtus.Pro in round one of the playoffs with the winner playing Na'Vi and that winner playing Team Liquid to book a slot in Vegas.

Teams eliminated in the Western Division are us Evil Geniuses, dk mousesports and us Dignitas. Note, Dignitas disbanded a few days ago, so all their remaining matches were forfeited.
