The winning team will also grab a slot in the grand finals due to be held in Moscow, Russia.
At the side of the bigger prize pool there is another change compared to last season. The teams will have to go through a single-elimination grid but every match will be a best-of-three affair. Due to the best-of-one system they used in the last Techlabs Cup in Moscow, we got to see some big surprises as Na’Vi wasn't able to live up to the expectations.
Being the runner-up at the International 2013, they come in again as the biggest favorite to take home the win. However, Power Rangers are also showing off promising performances lately, as they have just qualfied for the groupstages of EMS One. The exact line-up for EX-Quantic stays unknown, however it is more than likely that the newly formed roster Flip.Q will compete in their place. This will be another innovation, since the Techlabs Cups were usually restricted to teams from the CIS.
