Valve have just released the groupings for this year's The International. Check out who your favourite teams will be playing below. Players chosen to participate in the 1v1 Solo Championships have also been released alongside the players that will be participating in the Allstars match.

Format for this year's tournament will be the same as last years with a group stage play where teams are split into two groups of eight and will play each other twice. Top four seeds of each group to go into the upper bracket and the bottom four goes into the lower bracket.

The upper bracket will be played in best of three matches while lower bracket will be best of one except the lower bracket final which will be best of three. Finally, the grand final will be a best of five with no game advantage, just like last year.

Extra Games will be played if there is a tie between two teams to the determine whether they go into the upper brackets or lower brackets.

The remaining tiebreaker for seedings will be done in the following order:
1- Compare the matchup history of these teams
2- Compare their wins vs the seed right below them. Repeat until resolved
3- Coin toss

Teams finished first can choose their opponents from the opposite group that placed third and fourth.
