TI3 live on Swedish television

Swedish network TV6 recently announced that they will be broadcasting live the largest Dota 2 tournament, The International, happening 7th-11th of August 2013 in Seattle. Will this kind of exposure help take Dota 2 the extra step into eSports glory?


The channel has a history of collaborations in the eSports area, with different Swedish personalities from the world of gaming blogging on their platform, including se The Alliance's very own se Jonathan 'Loda' Berg. TV6 will broadcast the whole tournament online but additionally, the last two days of the competition will be live on television.

The Swedish network will partner up for the broadcast with eSports giant DreamHack, who will lend some of their experienced staff to host, analyze and interview on location to facilitate the immersion of viewers into the world of Dota 2. se Martin "Soxter" Edsman will be hosting the broadcast, former pro player se Kim "Drayich" Larsson will be the expert in the studio, while se Christian "Hellspawn" Lord will be the reporter in Seattle.
