Some of you might have already noticed that inbetween the comments, some users over on joinDOTA have a "Supporter" avatar in their profile. We have created a set of avatars for the 17 teams which will attend The International 2013. Now you can choose one of them to show that you are their supporter. Is this actually news-worthy? We thought a lot about this and believe it is. It´s just a small addition we add to the website but after seeing what a great support all you fans have put into Dota 2´s Compendium, boosting up the prizepool to a stunning USD 2,600,0000 for your favorite teams, we think it is only fair to give you all the opportunity to show flag on joinDOTA as well. And it will be recognized that you do, as there is currently over 1,3 million people (unique users) visiting joinDOTA every month.

How do I change my Avatar?

It´s simple. When you´re logged in, just hit your username on the top left corner above the jD website to open up the settings menue. Click "Change Avatar" and then "Select premade avatar", scroll down until you see the team logos and pick one. Yes, there are some League of Legends images that you have to get past while scrolling, but that is because joinDOTA is part of a network of gaming websites that share a pool of images, so don´t get too mad (thanks!). Once chosen, hit "Choose selected avatar" and you are good to go.

For now, we have added it to the regular joinDOTA website, but we will expand to our forums as well, so over the course of the day, we will add the same set of avatars in a forum-format.

Now every time you post a comment on jD, everyone will see which team you support and especially the TI3 teams and players themselves who visit joinDOTA frequently will be proud to see you supporting them. So show them some love and get into the TI3 spirit, as it is only two weeks away and all the teams bootcamping right now will surely be happy about you motivating them to go the extra mile and show their best performance yet!
