A triple rampage and Topson ravaging on Tidehunter: the OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division started only three days ago but has already featured some top matches. The first three matchdays of the European Immortal division are over and featured some innovative strategies and top fights. Topias 'Topson' Taavitsainen once again proved that he is a true chadson and Team Secret are back from their break – but not completely invincible.

OG are turning it up

OG completed two series and were able to win both of them, which makes them the leaders of Group B. Their first match against Ninjas in Pyjamas featured a true OG draft with Yeik Nai 'MidOne' Zheng who crushed his opponents with his 10/0/12 Io and Topias 'Topson' Taavitsainen who whipped out a Tidehunter on the midlane.

Fueled by his Tide performance, Topson amped up his playstyle in the second game against NiP. His Gyrocopter could not be stopped, not even by the new Fountain Hits and he dived deep into the opponents on the hunt for more kills – without being punished.

Kuroky is still benched

Kuro S. 'KuroKy' Takhasomi counts as one of the most legendary Dota 2 players of all times. Therefore, Nigma's announcement in late July that their support player and captain is recovering from an arm injury prompted many fans to worry about the team's performance.

But Nigma had a perfect stand-in among their own rows, as their coach Roman 'rmN' Paley already stepped in at OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: EU/CIS. The team fought their way to first place, with rmN receiving particular praise.

Their run at the OMEGA League started out just as successfully, as they beat Alliance 2-1 in the only series they have played so far. Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi finished the first game with an outstanding triple rampage on Arc Warden and ended the match with a 17/2/12 kill score as well as 42.5k net worth. For comparison, his opponent Nikolay 'Nikobaby' Nikolov achieved a similar KDA on Clinkz, but only acquired 23k net worth.

The first match also brought this highlight play by Omar 'w33haa' Aliwi on Pugna, where he made the best use of Life Drain and simply could not be killed by Alliance.

Secret are back – and their opponents are prepared

Team Secret can arguably be seen as the strongest team worldwide at the moment. The juggernauts took a break from competitive Dota last month, but now they are back to continue their reign. It seems like the other squads used the time wisely to prepare for Secret. Even though Team Liquid lost the encounter 2-1, they were able to claim a victory and extend the third game to a back-and-forth 45-minute match.

The European teams at OMEGA League are now on a short break until 20th August where the next games of the group stage will take place. However, there is still Dota action happening as the America division will kick off this Monday. In case you are missing Evil Geniuses among the NA participants: the team is currently competing in the European league, but has yet to face the big fishes. You can watch all games on the official Twitch channel of WePlay! Esports.

What do you think? How is EG going to perform against the European top teams?
