Rumour has it that Virtus.pro might sell their second squad VP.Prodigy to another organisation. Russian news page cyber.sports.ru already reported about a potential transfer of the team on 15 June. The outlet pointed out that tournament organisers often won't allow two teams of the same organisations to take part at their event.

Now there is more reason for speculations. The CEO of the CIS organisation HellRaisers Aleksey Slabukhin estimated the selling price of VP.P at around $55,000 - $110,000 as cyber.sports.ru reported.

On Tuesday, a rather jokingly answer followed on Twitter in which Sergey Glamazda, General Manager of VP, asked whether this price would be for the whole team or per player. When he got asked if they plan on selling their players, he responded that VP would be open for discussion if their players are looking for a new perspective.

Glamazda's response does not confirm that the organisation is in any negotiations, but they seem to be open in general.

VP.Prodigy's roster

  • ru Egor 'Nightfall' Grigorenko
  • ua Rostislav 'fn' Lozovoi (stand-in)
  • ru Dmitriy 'DM' Dorohin
  • md Vitalie 'Save-' Melnic
  • ru Albert 'eine' Garaev

The second roster was only announced in April 2020. Due to the global pandemic, the tournament as well as basically the entire Dota scene got completely shaken by restrictions. Nonetheless, VP.Prodigy participated at several of the biggest regional events and achieved impressive results.

VP.P had their best run at WePlay! Pushka League Division 1 where they got to second place. On their way to the Grand Finals, they defeated several strong CIS squads as well as Alliance, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Liquid.

They were even able to overthrow their big brothers VP, as they defeated them 3-0 in the Epic Prime League Season 1 finals. The stack has definitely proven their worth and might be interesting to other organisations, either as complete stack or as individual players.

World champions OG parted ways with their secondary squad OG Seed earlier in June this year.

OG stated that for them, a conflict of interest occurred due to the special circumstances that came with COVID-19. Tournaments were only held regionally instead of internationally, so they were not able to let both their teams participate in the same events at once.

Do you think VP will sell their players? Which organisation would you want to sign them?
