The most festive Dota tournament
The Minor takes place from January 9th until 12th at the Bukovel ski resort, Ukraine. Eight teams battle for a prize pool of $300,000, 660 DPC points and the last slot for DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major.
WePlay!'s focus is not only on the matches itself: the event aims to deliver an entertaining environment with specials and surprises. The tournament is completely winter themed, embracing the holiday spirit and creating a comfy atmosphere, with the studio being decked in Christmas decorations, blankets and presents.

WP Merchandise designed an exclusive collection of Dota 2 plushies. In total there are 17 different items available, including different heroes, cosplay items, weapons, and keychains. The project runs under the “Valve Community Built” label and can also already be pre-ordered here.

Not only teams receive presents: fans could submit their SFM-creations to the special contest. The videos had to be Dota 2 related and winter themed. All of the entries will be added to Reddit and get voted by users. The winner of the contest receives $5,000, the other participants get special Bukovel Minor presents, including merchandise signed by the Minor winners.

Streams
The talent
The respective streams will be presented by well-known Dota talents. Richard Campbell makes another appearance on a Dota 2 stage after quickly establishing himself during in 2019. All games will be hosted by top tier casters such as ODPixel, TobiWan, Capitalist and syndereN.

Format
The Group Stage is played in the GSL system. Two groups with four teams each compete in a double elimination format. It features a pair of opening matches, an elimination match, a winner's match and a decider match. The two best teams proceed to the Playoffs, the other teams get eliminated from the tournament.
The Playoffs include the four strongest teams from the Group Stage. They compete in a double elimination grid through best of 3 matches. The Grand Finals declare the champion in a best of 5 series.

- 1st: $72,000, 140 DPC points + DreamLeague Leipzig Major participation
- 2nd: $60,000, 120 DPC points
- 3rd: $54,000, 110 DPC points
- 4th: $42,000, 90 DPC points
- 5-6th: $24,000, 60 DPC points
- 7-8th: $12,000, 40 DPC points
