Two weeks ago J.Storm announced their new lineup surrounding their star carry Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok, but it seems like the CIS player decided to go back to his region. In February 2016 Reso had joined Digital Chaos* and since then he played in European and North American teams - with the small exception for TI7 when he was a stand-in for Team Empire. A lot of his Ukrainian fans were hoping for him to come back to the CIS region, but year after year he confirmed to stay in the other regions.

Even two weeks ago J.Storm confirmed that he'd be a part of the new lineup. However, Virtus.pro announced two new players today and one of them is Resolut1ion which means his time with J.Storm ends.

VP is still missing a fifth player

The Russian organisation confirmed that they'll attend the upcoming MDL Chengdu Major with their new lineup and they also made clear that Vladimir 'RodjER' Nikogosyan got benched.

Reso makes space for talented carry

This means only Aleksey 'Solo' Berezin and Vladimir 'No[o]ne' Minenko remain of the old roster. Roman 'RAMZEs' Kushnarev went off to new adventures with Evil Geniuses and Pavel '9pasha' Khvastunov is playing for Natus Vincere now.

Next to Reso, VP announced another new player: Egor "epileptick1d" Grigorenko is the best placed player in the European ladder right now. The talented youngster will take over the carry position which means that Resolut1on is the offlaner of Virtus.pro for the upcoming season.

Roman Dvoryankin, VP's GM, explains that Egor will join them on trial and they'll judge his performance after the qualifiers for the Major.

It was a tough month, but we decided against postponing our season entrance to a later date. I’m happy to welcome Resolut1on to the team. He’s a brilliant player, and we’ll do everything in our power to see his return to CIS go successfully. Egor is among the most promising young players in our region, and we’ve decided to give him a chance to prove himself. We’ll make the final decision about his future in the team judging by the qualifier’s results. We’re grateful to RodjER for these amazing year and a half together, but we’re parting ways for now.

Virtus.pro "will announce the team's fifth player shortly". The coach of the team is Anatolii 'boolk' Ivanov who already helped the squad during The International 2019.

What do you think about VP's new lineup?
