Organizations who are interested in hosting a Major or Minor in the 2019/2020 DPC seasons can now send proposals to DPC2019@valvesoftware.com#Dota2 #esports pic.twitter.com/MgWfvntInj
The event date breakdown is as follows:
• Nov 16-24
• Jan 18-26
• Mar 14-22
• May 2-10
• June 20-28
The dates for each minor are as follow.
• Nov 5-9
• Jan 7-11
• Mar 3-7
• Apr 22-26
• June 9-13
In the announcement, Valve also pointed out that they will be deciding the format for every upcoming DPC event. This is likely due to increased concern in the community about the awkward format of several tournaments, such as the Dota PIT Minor, which had a fundamentally inconsequential Group Stage as well as five Bo1's in the Lower Bracket.
Ok this is probably on me for not paying closer attention... but Bo1 lower bracket *semifinal* (3rd-4th place decider)?!? Okaaaaaaaay LOL

Will heightened control by Valve equate to better tournaments?
