Every player has their own signature style. We take a look at five top Midlaners in the Dota 2 scene and compare how they play.

Sumail

The young Midlaner has been making Dota 2 headlines virtually since he came on the Dota 2 scene. Taken under wing by Clinton 'Fear' Loomis, he was hailed as a prodigy at the age of 16 and quickly developed a distinct style with Evil Geniuses.

Sumail 'SumaiL' Syed Hassan is foremost a daring core. Not only does he usually win his lane, but is relied upon to snowball out of control and create a strong advantage for his team. However, he does all of this with a surfeit of flair. He is often seen making incredible plays and styling all over the enemy while winning his games. His natural cockiness also adds fuel to his aggressive play, making him all the more exhilirating to watch.

His top three heroes played are Puck (66 games), Storm Spirit (63 games), and Invoker (56 games).

No[o]ne

Virtus.pro's longstanding Midlaner is an incredibly versatile player. He has a huge pool of heroes and has a positive winrate on virtually every single one of them.

Vladimir 'No[o]ne' Minenko is a tempo-setting mid player. Depending on the hero, he can range from being a sturdy pushing machine an electrifying playmaker. Recently he has adapted his style to facilitate his team in controlling the map while Roman 'RAMZEs' Kushnarev farms; however, he has an aggressive streak in him (one of the key reasons he wins so often), and is known to show off when he is really in command of his game.

His top three heroes played are Dragon Knight (79 games), Invoker (72 games), and Queen of Pain (70 games).

Ori

Vici Gaming have been running the Dota 2 scene as of late, and that is due in huge part to their twin cores Zhang 'Eurus' Chengjun and Zeng 'Ori' Jiaoyang.

Ori is a meticulous core player. He almost always wins his lane, usually resulting in insane farm and an intimidating KDA, and can transition seamlessly to whatever role is required by his team. Whether he needs to carry the game or merely buy time for his Paparazi, Ori is always in synce with the pulse of the game, and is thorough in accomplishing exactly what is needed to help his team win.

His top three heroes played are Puck (59 games), Death Prophet (57 games), and Lina (49 games).

Miracle-

Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi has been turning heads recently as a strong start to 2019 saw Team Liquid win Mars Media Dota 2 League: Macau 2019 wherein Miracle- finished five of the last six games without dying.

Miracle- is hyper-technical Midlaner. He is often in the conversation for best Solo Middle of all time, and, having made his fame on Invoker, he has to be. His insane mechanical skills are something to fear, as he can create win scenarios out of almost any situation, no matter how disadvantegous. Further, once he has his farm, he can be seen dominantly styling all over his helpless opponents, showcasing his renowned playmaking ability.

His top three heroes played are Invoker (82 games), Shadow Fiend (67 games), and Anti-Mage (39 games).

MidOne

Team Secret has had a great 2019; and, save for a poor showing at DreamLeague Season 11, they are looking like frontrunners for the rest of the year. A big part of their success, of course, is Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov's handpicked prodigy Midlaner.

Yeik Nai 'MidOne' Zheng is an anchor for his team. His job is to create a strong foundation for his teammates to build off of. Recent patches have seen him play lots of very aggressive heroes, such as Viper and Monkey King, so that he can constantly be in the enemy's face, allowing MichaƂ 'Nisha' Jankowski ample time to farm. And yet, sometimes MidOne just goes off, single-handedly creating such a stir he virtually wins the game on his own.

His top three heroes played are Invoker (88 games), Ember Spirit (88 games), and Outworld Devourer (53 games).
