'Team Secret is on another level' - they destroy Liquid in the group stage

posted by Smyke,
Team Secret vs. Team Liquid a matchup that has the potential to be in the Grand Finals of the Major. However, these two teams fought each other already on day two of the group stage.
That was not the only highlight, because SirActionSlacks and Henrik 'AdmiralBulldog' Ahnberg were the official casters of the series.

The game itself was also a highlight and the perfect moment for both teams to see what level the other rival is on right now. Kuro S. 'KuroKy' Takhasomi decided for an unconventional draft that brought Lasse 'Matumbaman' Urpalainen in the mid lane with Necrophos, while Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi played Phantom Assassin.

Meanwhile, Secret gave Michał 'Nisha' Jankowski Terrorblade - one of his signature heroes. That worked perfectly for the reigning Major champion.

By the end of the first game Terrorblade didn't have the most kills on the server, but Liquid was not able to stop him a single time - Nisha had zero death.

Secret is really unstoppable

It's not difficult to realize that Nisha is really Secret's weapon: Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov picked another strong hero for him. This time Nisha played Troll Warlord and got backup ed by Puppey's Oracle. Meanwhile, Yeik Nai 'MidOne' Zheng felt comfortable enough to play another Monkey King game against Matumba's Necrophos.

However, this time MidOne was not able to shut Necro off. He didn't get the amount of denies that would have made the game easier for his team, but that didn't stop Nisha. Miracle- couldn't keep up with the farm on Morphling and was killed too often in the early as well as the mid game to get the impact Liquid needed.

This team fight after half an hour decided who'd be in charge of the late game. MidOne's ultimate was placed perfectly to slow and damage Liquid's entire squad - an easy way for Nisha and Yazied 'YapzOr' Jaradat to team wipe the TI champions of 2017.

From that point on, Liquid just extended the game, but didn't have the possibilty to get back in a winning position.

Secret demonstrated once again why they're the best team in the world right now. They've won 20 games in a row since their loss against OG at day one of ESL One Katowice 2019.

Can Liquid fight back in the playoffs or is Secret the only favourite?
