Igor 'ILTW' Filatov joined OG as a stand-in before the second Minor of the season started. He kept on playing for the TI winning squad until the third Minor. Now, OG has decided to part ways with the Russian.

*UPDATE* - 20:07 CET: ana rejoins OG

Earlier today we had a news that Igor 'ILTW' Filatov will no longer play for the European champions. OG decided to part ways with the 19-year-old Russian carry. However, rumours were spread that ana would rejoin them and only a few hours later we know it for sure:

The TI8 mvp will be playing for OG again. It's his third time with the team surrounding Johan 'BigDaddyN0tail' Sundstein and Sebastien 'Ceb' Debs. He took a break after TI7, rejoined them before TI8 and took another break after lifting the Aegis - and now he's hungry for more titles.

OG's result at the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor was a disappointment. The reigning TI champions were the favourites to win the event in Kiev, but didn't even make it out of the group stage. Only two weeks prior to that, they had their first real success of this season: OG finished third at ESL One Katowice 2019.

Now, the team has made the tough decision to release the 19-year-old Russian carry before it's too late to qualify for The International 2019.

There is no bad blood between the players, although ILTW has to leave the squad after the disappointing results. In his final statement he's thankful for the past few months he played with the TI winning squad.

I want to thank OG for the opportunity they gave me these past few months. It’s been a great experience and I learned so much. Thanks to Johan, Seb, Jesse and Topias for being such great teammates and Titouan and Oliver for their support. I wish you guys all the best!

Is ana's comeback a possibility?

Even before the Minor started rumours were spread that OG is looking to bring Anathan 'ana' Pham back into the team. The Australian carry wanted to take a break from professional Dota 2 after winning The International 2018 with OG.

However, he made his first appearance in a tournament this season last week at WESG 2018. He competed alongside Kim 'Velo' Taesung and Seon-Yeob 'QO' Kim in Team Australia. The interesting part: instead of playing a carry role, ana had his debut performance on position four support.

If ana rejoined the OG squad, the TI winners would be complete again. They could be a threat to all Minor and Major participants in the upcoming round. Even now, there's still enough time for OG to qualify directly for TI9 in Shanghai.

Do you think ana will play for OG again?
