PSG.LGD withdraw from MDL due to Chalice's medical complications

Mars Media Dota 2 League: Macau 2019 is starting February 20 with eight teams fighting for $300,000. Two recent news place our special focus on the event in the Far East.
The tournament would have been PSG.LGD's first appearance without Yao 'Maybe' Lu. The mid laner took a break from professional Dota 2 and got replaced by CDEC Gaming's Guo 'Xm' Hongcheng. However, the organization that's partnered with the French football club Paris Saint-Germain, decided to not attend the event in Macau.

The reason for the decision: Yang 'Chalice' Shenyi has serious medical complications that won't allow him to attend the tournament.

A translated version of the Weibo post says that he is fighting with a "postoperative wound ulceration", which basically means that his wounds are healing poorly. In another comment on Weibo LGD explained that it's an ear wound that is not healing as it should.

Sccc is back on the big stage

The top-level Chinese team will be replaced with The International 2017 finalist Newbee. However, they'll have to play with a stand-in. Their Malaysian off laner Thiay 'JT-' Jun Wen will be replaced with Wen 'awen' Lipeng who is part of Mr Game Boy.

Do you think Newbee is already strong enough to win the MDL event in Macau?
