The reason for the decision: Yang 'Chalice' Shenyi has serious medical complications that won't allow him to attend the tournament.
A translated version of the Weibo post says that he is fighting with a "postoperative wound ulceration", which basically means that his wounds are healing poorly. In another comment on Weibo LGD explained that it's an ear wound that is not healing as it should.
Sccc is back on the big stage
We are pleased to announce that we claim the last invite to the MDL Macau 2019. Thanks for the invitation @MarsMedia. Our lineup for the tournament will be: Moogy, Sccc, awen, Waixi, Faith. Let’s do this💪💪💪. pic.twitter.com/hY1WCIlAsC— Newbee (@newbeecn) 14. Februar 2019
The top-level Chinese team will be replaced with The International 2017 finalist Newbee. However, they'll have to play with a stand-in. Their Malaysian off laner Thiay 'JT-' Jun Wen will be replaced with Wen 'awen' Lipeng who is part of Mr Game Boy.
Do you think Newbee is already strong enough to win the MDL event in Macau?
