Whether or not I end up deciding to compete in something else I definitely need a pvp game to at least get good at and climb ladder, feel like something is missing if I don't find that

Team-mate Mike 'Glaurung' Fisk echoed his sentiments:
This may be the end of a 4 year journey in HOTS for me, but in terms of exploring my passion for competition i see this as a new beginning. I'm grateful to have been able to meet and play with so many people over the years, and for the overwhelming support many gave me.

Many players have already started playing League of Legends, but could Dota offer something more for those who prefer the familiarity of the Warcraft universe?
After all, all three games spawned from the same Warcraft III mod, and after the death of competitive Heroes it’s Dota 2 which remains the most similar to that original game.
Some HotS players have already taken steps in Dota 2 or have history in the game, including former Endemic player Michael Udall — who states he is Divine 5 ranked — and his team-mate Josh 'bkid' Choi, who played together with David 'Moonmeander' Tan on the now-defunct Dream Destroyers* roster:
RIP HOTS who knows maybe we really try fulltime dota/try and be dota pro not sure my plans but hots doesn't seem to be the play

Shout out to all my dota2 pro friends and fans that came to my stream and talked shit about me for playing hots. #youguyswereright

Meanwhile, multiple Copa America winner Juan “jschritte” Passos hints at a Dota move when asking about orgs in his native Brazil who invest in Dota 2 — and he even retweeted our article on similar heroes!
Quais orgs investem em dota 2 atualmente no br ?

It’s not just players who are seeking new challenges in esports — could Dota 2 provide a home for talented casters and commentators from the Heroes scene such as Wade “Dreadnaught” Penfold?
I would also like to use this as an opportunity to say that I am looking to commentate other games as well. I have worked on a few other titles, but would really like to expand and grow as a commentator and think this is a good time to do so.

Finally, it’s not just Dota 2 which is enticing former Heroes players — Tempo Storm player and 2015 World Champion Fan Yang was due to cease playing competitive Heroes anyway, and has been playing a lot of Dota 2 card game Artifact recently:
Randomly saw @StanCifka's @PlayArtifact qualifier tournament #1 at 5am for his personal $5k prize draft tournament and decided to play for fun. Made it to top 8 which qualifies me for the main tournament! Now bedtime .-. pic.twitter.com/54uFOZFaPi

What do you think? Could Dota 2 provide a home for these talents?
