Ivan 'MinD_ContRoL' Borislavov is standing in for NiP at The Kuala Lumpur Major after Neta '33' Shapira couldn't get a visa for Malaysia.
The offlaner demonstrated in the Lower Bracket game against TNC why it's actually an advantage to have MC as a stand-in - he's one of the best players in his position.
In the first game, MC is just everywhere on the map invading the enemy jungle, killing creeps or finishing off a TNC player in a 1v1. This was really a world class performance! Team Liquid's player ended the game with 16 kills and only one death.
Fata doubles TNC kills on his own
This performance boosted the whole team. Every NiP player was on point in the second game. MinD_ContRoL had another good game on Centaur Warrunner, but he wasn't in the spotlight this time. While MC was creating space and scouting opponents, Fata and Ace performed extremely well on Necrophos and Spectre.
Not a single player on TNC had more than two kills in the end. Especially Carlo 'Kuku' Palad had a tough time on Beastmaster. He died eleven times without getting a single kill on the scoreboard.
The whole TNC team finished the game with only seven kills. NiP's Ace on the other hand got nine kills while having no deaths at all. Fata had even 14 kills on Necrophos, doubling TNC's kills on his own.
NiP fought back following a tough loss against Virtus.pro in the Upper Bracket. After some shaky drafts against the Russian team Peter 'ppd' Dager demonstrated in the Lower Bracket how to outdraft the Filipino squad. NiP is now in the top four of the tournament for sure.
Evil Geniuses will play against PSG.LGD on Saturday to determine who'll face the Ninjas in Pyjamas afterwards.
Virtus.pro and Team Secret will close out the day in an epic battle for the first spot in the Grand Final of the Major.
