It's the first time that two teams from South America will get the chance to prove themselves against the best teams in the world at a Major. The qualifier was not surprising for the Brazilians, but the Peruvian fans will have to wait at least a little bit longer to see one of their teams compete at a Major. Both paiN teams didn't have any problems in the group stage. Quinn 'CCnC' Callahan and his teammates at test 123 had two top level Peruvian teams in their group, but neither Elvis 'Scofield' de la Cruz with Thunder Predator nor Enzo 'Timado' Gianoli and Infamous were able to stop the Brazilian-American mix.

paiN Gaming* won both of their matches in Group B with a 2-0. Everybody was waiting for the jousting between the two top teams. However, the first duel wasn't as close as fans had hoped before. Rasmus 'rASmus' Fillipsen's team won both games in a little bit over an hour which made them the first SA team to qualify for the Major.

paiN X advanced to the Lower Bracket where they had to play against Thunder Predator for a second time. paiN finished a tense first game after 51 minutes - they needed only one more win to qualify for The Kuala Lumpur Major. However, Thunder didn't give up easily and won game two in a solid fashion.

For game three paiN X switched things up and picked Enigma for a better team fight potential - and it worked. Ravi 'ritsu' Kodippili and his teammates won game three and were able to celebrate their first Major qualification afterwards.

The only flaw in their qualifier run: they lost the second match against paiN Gaming as well. Maybe they'll get another chance at The Kuala Lumpur Major to prove that they're the better one of the two teams.

What are the chances for a South American team to win a Major?
