Catch the last moments of Game 2 against @Winstrike_Team as we complete the 2-0! With this, we've locked Upper Bracket at #TI8 with two matches to play.@TeamLiquid later. We're hyped. pic.twitter.com/rRondMB6i1
Nothing has changed – Evil Geniuses are continuing their charge. They have even locked in their Upper Bracket slot already, with their 2-0 victory over bottom side Winstrike (2-8) taking them to 11-1 and sealing the deal with two matches to spare. Sumail 'SumaiL' Syed Hassan, Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev and Gustav 's4' Magnusson helped themselves to a Russian feast in a pair of wins lasting just an hour.
Team Liquid kept up the pressure with their own 2-0 victory, over the Southeast Asians of Mineski (4-8). Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi ran rampant on Spectre and Weaver, leaving them 7-3 in the group. Fnatic (6-4) came back to tie with OG (4-6), keeping them in third for now, with PSG.LGD not playing the first round. Finally, VGJ.Thunder (5-5) stayed in touch with the top four by picking up a vital 2-0 against Invictus Gaming (4-8), who just don’t seem to know how to kill Roshan…

Forward Gaming (9-1) and Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok are having a stormer, really. It’s almost as if he has a point to prove, and against TNC Predator (6-6) in the battle of the top two it was no different. He led his side to an hour-long comeback victory in Game 1 alongside Yawar 'YawaR' Hassan’s Mirana, before the pair combined yet again to take a 20-minute stomping.

On to game 2!

It was the Roman 'RAMZEs' Kushnarev show as Virtus.pro (7-3) overtook the Filipino side for second in the group, with a 2-0 against the Chinese of Newbee (5-7). A 54-minute Game 1 was followed up with a half-hour rollover as they showed signs of coming into their DPC form. OpTic Gaming (4-6) and Team Serenity (4-6) played out a tie, as did paiN Gaming* (4-6) and Vici Gaming (5-7). Two points separate teams in 3rd to 9th — leaving the group delicately poised and meaning it’s still all to play for.
Can you predict who will go through to the Upper Bracket?
