Ghostik decides to move on after 2 years with Team Empire

After almost two years with the organisation, Team Empire wave goodbye to Andrey 'Ghostik' Kadyk, a player who was part of their TI7 roster who managed to eliminate Evil Geniuses to place top 8.

Outside of TI7, Ghostik and Empire also placed top 6 at DAC2017 together and were winners of the ROG Masters in December 2017. Although ROG Masters 2017 was not a DPC event it had an impressive $235,000 prizepool, with Empire taking home $117,500 of it.

"I would like to say thanks to Team Empire for all that time we spent together. Although not everything went just as planned, I still consider it as a valuable experience. Now it is time to move on and I am optimistic about the future," said Ghostik in the official announcement.

According to the same announcement, it appears it was Ghostik's choice to move on, and Empire said they wish him the best of luck on his new path.

"As for us, we are going to test different offlane players. It might be a long process, but I will personally do my best to make the optimal choice for our team," said Team Empire.

Over the course of the 2017-2018 first DPC season, Team Empire made it to 4 events; 3 Minors and 1 Major. Their best DPC placements were top 6 at the Starladder i-League Invitational Season 4 and DreamLeague Season 9 Minors.
