In a great step for Dota 2 coverage, Gareth and Shane will be providing a national broadcast of the Birmingham Major on the BBC. The British Broadcasting Corporation known as the BBC, is the national broadcasting company in the United Kingdom, and this will be the first time they will be broadcasting a Dota 2 event.

BBC host Julia Hardy will also be on the broadcast
The BBC have dabbled in esports so far, providing highlight VODS of Counter-Strike: GO and Street Fighter 5 matches, as well as live coverage of Rocket League and League of Legends.

Recently however, the BBC have uploaded several clips introducing Dota 2, and tomorrow joinDOTA's Gareth will be joined by friend and casting partner Shane to bring Dota 2 to a new audience. Although the duo will cast as usual during the games, between games they will be breaking it down to accomodate viewers unfamiliar with some of the mechanics.

The broadcast will be live on BBC Three and later uploaded onto the BBC IPlayer, a video on demand player accessible to users living in the UK. Gareth and Shane will also be joined by Julia Hardy, a technology and gaming host from the BBC.
