iceiceice's Twitch channel banned after use of racial slur

Mineski offlaner Daryl Koh 'iceiceice' Pei Xiang used a racial slur while talking about his dislike for his own first name on stream yesterday, resulting in a suspension of his Twitch channel. A clip of the moment in question was uploaded to r/dota2 shortly after it happened and quickly rose to the front page. It has since become unavailable, as have iceiceice's entire channel and other clips.According to Twitch's help article on DMCAs, suspensions and bans, "Most violations will result in a 24 hour suspension and a strike on the account. [...] After two strikes, the next violation will result in an indefinite suspension, but some severe violations will result in an indefinite suspension on the first violation."

Mineski made a statement about the incident on their Facebook fan page, but did not specify the player involved.

Although iceiceice is known as a joker or a troll in the Dota 2 scene, this is the first time he has been involved in an incident like this. The last notable time he was in any kind of trouble was when he did not wear his Vici Gaming jacket during a match in the MarsTV Dota 2 League. The event organizers were not the ones to fine him, rather it was Chinese governing body ACE.

iceiceice has not yet made any statement on social media or through his team about the incident.
