Team Liquid will play without their star carry at this week's DreamLeague Season 9 Minor. Their coach, Soung-Gon 'Heen' Lee, will stand in for the event. This week at DreamLeague our coach @Liquid_Heen will be stepping in for @Liquid_Miracle. But don't worry, our star carry will be back for DAC #LetsGoLiquid pic.twitter.com/q1sl8eHJL5— Team Liquid (@TeamLiquid) March 21, 2018

This is not the first time that Heen has been Liquid's standin but it doesn't happen often and it will be the first time that he stands in for an entire event. In nearly two years with the team, Heen has stood in twice before: during one match at ESL One Frankfurt 2016, when Adrian 'Fata' Trinks was sick, and in one game of Elimination Mode 2.0 back when Maroun 'Gh' Merhej was still on trial with the team.

Heen was a support player before he became Liquid's coach and he played support in both past stand-in situations. Liquid's post doesn't specify what he'll be playing, but at least one core support player will need to move to core in this case - be it GH, Kuro S. 'KuroKy' Takhasomi or Heen.

Liquid's first match of the DreamLeague Minor is scheduled for the end of Day 1, following the first three best-of-three series. They will be facing paiN Gaming* in their opener.
