DreamLeague Season 8 is back! Last night's two matches kicked off the remainder of EU/CIS League play, which runs now through Nov 16th, when the four EU/CIS teams headed to DreamHack Winter will be finally determined.

The first match of the night was between ru Vega Squadron * and eu MidOrFeed*. Vega had already played a large number of their matches in the first week of DreamLeague and held a 1-7 record, so they're in need of several wins if they hope to crack the top 4 by the end of League play.

Vega Squadron vs. MidOrFeed

MidOrFeed took the first win of the two-game series. dk Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen's Clockwerk was the shining of example of not feeding with a pristine 6/0/24 KDA by the end of the 40 minute game.

Vega's ru Sergey 'God' Bragin got off to a fantastic start in Game 2 thanks to a double Rampage at the seven-minute mark. Unfortunately, DreamLeague's production decided to cut to a replay during the moment, so the end of the play can only be viewed in the Picture-in-picture box in the corner of the screen.

With G on a roll so early, Vega were able to snowball and take the second win very quickly.

Natus Vincere vs. Team Empire

Empire are another CIS squad that need to pick up a few wins in order to stay in the running for the Major, but they couldn't get past Na`Vi last night. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Na'Vi haven't played many DreamLeague matches yet remain undefeated after beating Empire 2-0 last night.

As we've already seen numerous times this season, Na`Vi are a very strong team in online events. They've won both the Starladder | i-League Invitational #3 and PGL Open: Bucharest CIS qualifiers but didn't make it very far in either LAN event. So far, it looks like they stand a very good chance at making it into the DreamLeague Major, though they've still got five more matches against mainly very strong teams left to play.

DreamLeague Standings and Schedule

DreamLeague will broadcast this week through Nov 10 and next week Nov 14-16 to finish off the EU/CIS Qualifier. Broadcasts start most days at 17 CET.
