The new name is a reference to some drama between the players and the SFTe-sports organization. ru Ilya 'Illidan Stormrage' Pivtsaev's lengthy vk post (linked in his Tweet above) details issues he claims his team has had over the last couple of months. They include difficulty in communicating in English between the players and management, rescheduled games that the team was not made aware of, and the organization trying to convince his teammates to kick him.

On the other hand, the organization also made a lengthy vk post, claiming that Illidan had incited the team to leave with him. Their first post was deleted, though a screenshot is saved on cybersport.ru. A later post was made saying that everything seemed ok one day, but the next day the team had left.

Whatever the case may be, the team has played their first match without their former organization. Their debut as No Rats came in last night's joinDOTA League Season 11 match against PENTA Sports.

Let's get this out of the way first - Game 2 was a total disaster for No Rats. de Leon 'nine' Kirilin's Broodmother took over the game extremely quickly. PENTA won the game with a 35-13 kill lead at just the 21 minute mark. Luckily, the first game of the series went much better for them.

fi Topias 'Topson' Taavitsainen showed off with a hero we don't often see dominate a game these days - Windranger. He crushed Nine's Juggernaut in the middle lane and grabbed a very quick Maelstrom, Aghanim's Scepter and Blink Dagger. He ended the game with a 16/0/11 KDA on his way to a Blood Thorn at 26 minutes.

They took the first win of the series, making the score an even 1-1 after the aforementioned Game 2 disaster.

The hard turn from stomp-ee to stomper wasn't the most convincing opener for No Rats, but it certainly made for some entertaining Dota 2. Remember, if you're looking for some matches to watch in the days between all the Minor and Major action, the joinDOTA League has you covered.
