Mineski gave Liquid some trouble with Daryl Koh 'iceiceice' Pei Xiang's Broodmother and Kam 'Moon' Boon Seng's Necrophos in Game 1, but Liquid had some pretty disgusting heroes of their own in Lasse 'Matumbaman' Urpalainen's Venomancer and Ivan 'MinD_ContRoL' Borislavov's Pugna.
Mineski maintained a comfortable lead for the first 35 minutes of the game but Liquid never fell too far behind. This was thanks in part to Amer 'Miracle-' Al-Barkawi's Alchemist, who ended the game with 915 GPM. Miracle- also managed to snatch the Aegis in Mineski's first Rosh attempt, but the second Aegis (and first Cheese) went to Mineski, delaying Liquid's ability to play aggressively.
Liquid finally found an opening to push at the 38 minute mark, taking the midlane barracks before retreating for Roshan. They returned with an Aegis on Venomancer at the 44 minute mark, took another set of barracks and forced the GG call.

The second game of the match was a complete stomp by Liquid. The early game snowballed so well for them that Miracle- was able to dive Mineski's fountain with an Aegis at the 18 minute mark.
The game ended in just 21 minutes after Liquid took the top lane of barracks. The TI champions were leading 24 kills to 7, while Mineski failed to take a single Tier 2 tower. All in all, it was an absolutely dominant first showing for Liquid despite not playing a single official match in almost two months.
