The first two regional Qualifiers for the The Perfect World Masters to wrap up were the Americas, and the winners of both North and South are us compLexity Gaming and br SG e-sports respectively.

North America
compLexity may have had a few disappointing results after their impressive win streak at the BTS house during Hurricane Irma, but they seem to have taken it all in stride. After qualifying for their first LAN of the season with Starladder | i-League Invitational #3, they've followed that up with another win in Perfect World Masters.

coL were knocked into the lower bracket by us Digital Chaos* in the semifinal round, but fought their way through us Is GG* and usca Immortals* before a Grand Final rematch against DC. This time, the tables were turned and coL finished off Digital Chaos in a decisive 2-0 victory.

This will be coL's first time back in China since The Shanghai Major (which was also a Perfect World event), so his mild trepidation is understandable. Luckily, plenty of non-disastrous events have been hosted in China in the 1.5 years since then.

South America
SG e-sports are quickly becoming a dominant force in South American qualifiers. Like eu Team Secret in EU and my Mineski in SEA, SG have now racked up three qualifier victories. Along with the Perfect World Masters, SG have also qualified for Starladder | i-League Invitational #3 and ESL One Hamburg 2017.

The Brazilian squad were upper bracket boys all the way through the qualifier, meeting with pe Sacred* in the Grand Final. DC.SA took the first game win, but SG turned around an early lead by DC.SA in Game 2 and crushed Game 3 with the potent combination of Bloodseeker, Arc Warden and Necrophos to strike fear in their enemies' hearts.
